Configure LTI role mapping

You can map a role from your Learning Management System to the appropriate corresponding role in Möbius.

A variety of Learning Management System roles are already mapped for you in Möbius, but you can configure new roles as needed.

To configure LTI role mapping

To configure LTI role mapping:

  1. Click System Admin on the System Homepage.

System Admin is third menu in top navigation of System Homepage.

  1. Click Edit LTI Role Mappings.

The Edit LTI Role Mappings option is the fifth menu option of the System Admin menu.

  1. The default role mappings are displayed in the Role Mappings table.

  1. Click Add Mapping.

The Add Mapping button is highlighted under the Role Mappings heading.

  1.  Define the Learning Management System (LMS) role.

In the Role Mapping pane, the LMS Role textbox is highlighted.

  1. Select the Möbius role from the drop-down list.

In the Role Mapping pane, the Mobius Role drop-down menu is open with the list of system user roles.

  1. Assign a priority number to the field mapping.

In the Role Mapping pane, the Priority textbox is highlighted.

NOTE: The priority number can be any non-negative integer. The higher the number, the higher the priority.

  1. Click Submit.

The Submit button is the first button at the bottom of the page.

  1. The new role is now mapped in the Role Mappings table.

TIP: Click Edit in the data row to edit the role mapping.

In the new row of the Role Mappings table, the Edit button in the fourth column is highlighted.

IMPORTANT:  Only delete a mapped role if you know that it's no longer in use. Click Delete in the data row to delete the setup.

In the new row of the Role Mappings table, the Delete button in the fifth column is highlighted.

Click OK to confirm the role mapping deletion.
